Add pauses

Same as on our regular voices you can now add pauses with the tag <break time="1s"/>
Example: Mary had a little lamb <break time="2s"/> Whose fleece was white as snow.
Pauses can be between 1-60 seconds long. Please enter whole numbers only (e.g. 1, 2, 3). Decimal numbers like 1.5 are not allowed.

How do I select a language?

AI voices detect the language automatically. However, AI voices do not support ALL languages. Here is the list of languages that are supported:

How do I change the tone or pitch of the output voice?

Switch on Add Instructions and describe how the text should sound, for example "whisper", "speak slowly and calmly", "sound excited" or "use a strong British accent". The new voices follow these instructions especially well. Without instructions, the AI chooses the tone from the context of the text, including punctuation like exclamation points or dashes.
